— Virtual Region, what is it?

Virtual Region is a SimCity 4 in a multiplayer mode.


— I would like to play in "Virtual Region", what should I do?

Simply!

1. register at CityBuilders.ru
2. remove all sc4 plugins from "Plugins" folder
3. download or create region VR-2 and pick up a city
4. download allowed mods and updated cities
5. play!!! and do not forget to update your cities!



— What can I do, and what I can not?

You have to:
* develop city
* keep it up to date
* disable "Auto Edge Reconciliation" function

You can:
* smoothly shape landscape inland your city
* do everything with your city, what is not restricted

You can not:
* cheat
* change the landscape near the borders of your city
* interfere in other members' cities development in any way unless in cooperation with the owner (for example, by laying the road)


— How can I be sure, that I am not a cheater?

When we say 'cheater', we mean a player, who:
* use cheat codes
* use unallowed plugins
* develop other members' and empty cities
* place his city into another region for development
* do not discuss the deals with his neighbours


— How can I generate a region?

Download the archieve containing three files
and unpack it into 'My documents\SimCity 4\Regions'
(inside are: landscape generation map vr20map.png; region map CONFIG.bmp; REGION.INI)

Start the game, select a region Virtual Region 2.0, press simultaneously Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R, select .png file in your regions folder (vr20map.png) and generate the region.


— Anything else?

We recomend you to take a look at the rules in force. Join the "VR players" group to check out the synchronizations dates.

The Rules of the «Virtual Region» project

Requirements for the players of the VR:
1. CityBuilders.ru site registration.
2. SimCity 4 Rush Hour or SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition game installed.
3. Players have to check for the synchronization dates themselves (they are published in forum), and to trace news, announcements and updates of the project.
4. Players can bring up to the Administration proposals for improvemetns of Virtual Region project.
5. Administration actions are not discussed.

City distribution:
1. Mayor's name and the city name have to be written in Roman alphabet.
2. The city is gived out, only if it is not occupied by an another player.
3. Cities chosen by one player cannot be neighbours (have a common border).
4. The number of cities, owned by one player, is limited only by the player's skills and by the Administration opinion.
5. If the player is not updating his city for 5 times in a row, the city will be wiped out.
6. Other situations are considered individually.
7. Approval or disapproval of giving out the requested city will be written by VanHiest into your own inquiery message.
